Wake Up To The Abundance Within You

Wake up to the abundance that exists within you

Many of us maintain a kind of need-focused mentality: we obsess over what we lack instead of creating awareness of what we already have. Giving thanks, appreciating who we are and what surrounds us is, without a doubt, the best way to approach true abundance.

It’s not a modern evil. This indescribable feeling that something is missing and that we are walking on the edge of an abyss where some kind of deficiency always opens is the eternal existential crisis of the human being. However, it is essential to control and rationalize this type of thinking. Otherwise this want will grow like a weed, like the ivy that ends up covering the windows of a house.

We also know that it’s not exactly easy to manage this feeling. And it is not because the current and notorious social inequality makes the word “need” more palpable than ever. The lack of a job, certain earnings or the prospect of an uncertain future makes the concept of abundance sound ironic to us. However, understanding this term and applying it to our reality from a motivational point of view can help us to face our daily lives in a wiser way.

We are sure that this theme will be of great use to you.

Natural abundance and artificial abundance

There is a very interesting book called “ Sapiens, a brief history of humanity ”, by historian Yuval Harari. The book makes a somewhat provocative analysis of the evolution and success story of homo sapiens , where, somehow, the reader ends up intuiting that the cruelty of our own species seems to have imposed itself on ethics in many cases.

One of the aspects that Dr. Harari points out is that we are used to living in a state that we could define as “artificial abundance”. As an example, we have already explored the natural world to the point of forcing it to offer us far beyond what the balance of Earth and ecosystems can allow us. Even so, our modernity is oriented towards this materialism where “accumulation” or obtaining “things” defines a person’s status. Their lack, however, generates discomfort and unhappiness.

We distort the true and original concept of the term abundance. In the natural environment, abundance is, above all, balance and respect. It is to appreciate what is already present, what surrounds us, without the need to break this harmony so that it offers us more than is within its own possibilities.

Something that modern homo sapiens certainly cannot understand, because as Benjamin Franklin once said, we have reached a point where we think that time is money; when in fact, time is nothing more than a gift that we forget to enjoy properly.

how to live in abundance

At this point it is evident that abundance is not synonymous with money, accumulation of goods or even power. Abundance is to live fully in one piece, without lack, without emptiness or with a heart worn by the wind, giving the eternal feeling of being hollow inside.

As ironic as it may seem, in times of hardship and lack it is more necessary than ever to feel this inner abundance. Only then will we have a real psychological strength to face adversity, to intuit opportunities and thus be more receptive to everything around us.

We invite you to reflect on the next aspects.

Tips for Building True Inner Abundance

Many of us are very used to what is known as “disability motivation”: my cell phone is still in good condition, but now they’ve launched another latest generation from this brand that everyone has, and of course I can’t be without one.

We lack many things. Maybe you don’t have a very comfortable home. It is possible that your body is not ideal and that your partner has his faults. It’s even possible that you still haven’t been able to go on vacation in that heavenly destination, while your friends did last summer. Living in the economy of want is like a virus, like a continual disease that gradually spreads like a damp stain on a wall. It’s always there, looking nasty.

  • We need to get away from the place that this mental approach gives us. Focusing our own existence exclusively on the material sphere is an inexhaustible source of discomfort. We will never be satisfied.
  • Change the focus from your mental perspective. Direct it to what you already have to see where its real strengths, its true beauty and its abundance lie.

We need to develop a state of consciousness capable of embracing the positive things, the present and the concrete. Not what isn’t, what doesn’t exist or what’s missing. Only when we are able to give thanks for who we are, what defines us and what surrounds us in full confidence, can we open the doors to prosperity.
