Get Rid Of Everything Else To Gain Height

Get rid of everything else to gain height

What holds you back? What prevents you from gaining height and starting to fly?  A relationship that doesn’t work, a job you don’t like, a friend who despises you? Imagine that you are traveling and begin to let go of everything that holds you back. Remember, you only have one life to fly.

If someone clips your wings and doesn’t let you live life as you wish… What are you waiting for to let that person go? If you have a job that you’re not happy with, even if it’s not easy, why not start looking for a job that you’re passionate about?  You are the master of your life, you create and shape it, you are the one who governs it.

Selfishness is sometimes necessary and therapeutic

The idea of selfishness is  usually negative, because it is associated with someone who is not a good person, someone who only acts in his own interest and thinks only of himself, not caring about others. But  we can distinguish three types of selfishness:

the egocentric

It’s the  person who only knows how to talk about himself, who doesn’t let the other talk, who only does something if it’s for his own interest. The person who practices self-centered selfishness only has eyes for himself and, every time he speaks, he makes reference to himself.

the conscious

It is healthy selfishness that  arises when we feel the need to say “no” to others. It becomes something natural because it makes us connect to our essence, to what we really want, not what others want for us.

the selfless

It happens when we reach the capacity to put our interest at the service of the common good of society. In other words,  we do good for the world and that makes us feel good. We do something we like to do and it benefits other people. It’s not about charity or obligations. We simply do something that is good because we feel happy.

So  think about yourself, what you want, what you like. Look for people who share your concerns and you will feel like getting to know those who understand and seek the same thing brings you a lot of satisfaction.

Learn to say “no” when necessary.  Sometimes we don’t dare say “no” when asked for something and we find ourselves doing things we don’t want or even living a life we don’t want. Be happy doing the things that make you happy, and if you have to say no, say it. Get rid of anything that limits your dreams.

Sometimes we keep memories that make us sick and prevent us from seeing and appreciating the here and now. Let them go. Say “enough” once and for all. Start by forgiving so you can move forward, and you’ll feel lighter,  your baggage of negative emotions will weigh much less.

If you have a partner by your side who continually evaluates you, who puts your dreams in doubt, who imposes what he considers best for you, think about this relationship with total sincerity, think about what it brings to you and decide. Sometimes it’s better to get away in time, even if it’s painful, than to have a life full of dissatisfaction.

Sometimes a relative or a friend, even with the best of intentions, limits us in what we want to do, judges and condemns us. In these cases, it  might be better to take a little distance, gain perspective,  have our space and our time to decide, so that the decisions are ours. We can make mistakes a thousand times, but it doesn’t matter, because they will be our mistakes and our way of learning.

And, of course, when you get rid of everything that prevents you from gaining height,  spread your wings, smile and start flying towards your dreams, feel the wind of your desires  beating in your hair, feel the heat of the sun on your face, feel how your feet move farther and farther from the ground to achieve what you’ve always wanted.
