Forgiveness And A Clear Conscience Make An Excellent Pillow

Forgiveness and a clear conscience make an excellent pillow.

Being able to forgive someone who hurt me and being sure that I acted in the best way helps me to have a clear conscience and feel better about myself, in addition to avoiding the headache that something that worries me causes. I made my mistakes and they also committed them to me, but I understood and accepted these situations.

They say that, in general, when worries imprison the mind, they don’t let us live and, above all, they don’t let us go to bed calmly enough. For this reason, in the same way, I can say that understanding what the attitude of “asking for forgiveness” means and putting it into practice always makes a good pillow.

the attitude of asking for forgiveness

Elvira Sastre said that “ a life without courage is a way back without end” and she was totally right, because I always had in mind that the courage to ask for forgiveness is followed by the greatness of forgiving.

In other words, an attitude such as “asking for forgiveness”, which requires a little self-criticism, self-analysis and, above all, a lot of humility, is followed by the reward of becoming a better person.

The act of asking for forgiveness saves me because it involves accepting my own mistakes that may have hurt other people, sometimes very dear ones. In the latter case, most likely I did it unintentionally, but I did, and I feel better if I ask for forgiveness and am forgiven.

Giving forgiveness to others, forgiving myself and earning the forgiveness of others helped me to escape resentment, discomfort, wounds that would not close, a past that would not let me look into the future.

a clear conscience

To the attitude of “asking for forgiveness” is inherently added to a clear conscience, understood here as the judge who dictates my behavior: reproaches me, flatters me, opines about me and is honest with myself.

A bad conscience, for some bad attitude committed or a word badly used, alters me, makes me nervous and worsens my health: it turns into a pillow that doesn’t let me find my space and doesn’t allow me to rest.

When I sincerely ask for forgiveness and am forgiven, or vice versa, this pillow I was talking about changes: now I find my place in bed and in life, with myself and with others. Having a clear conscience turns into a step forward and one more door that I close, turning my back on a past I learned from.

Everyone has asked for forgiveness at one time

The fact of asking for forgiveness, especially when I’ve been wrong a lot, can be embarrassing. After all, no one likes to step back and acknowledge that they didn’t do right.

However , I know that everyone has asked for forgiveness at one time and that this is something necessary: no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, as they say. For this reason, no one is excluded from the gratifying attitude of “asking for forgiveness”.

Don’t judge yourself when you don’t deserve it, be humble but don’t humble yourself; always recognize that no one, like you, can live without forgiveness and be forgiven.
