Where is the will to keep fighting when I think I’ve hit rock bottom? Why do I still have the strength to keep going even though I believe I won’t get over what comes next? Is my strength greater than I believe? These may be some of the questions we ask ourselves when suffering invades us.

The human strength and the ability to overcome and survive that we have is an incredible thing. We are prepared to bear more pain than we believe and to keep finding reasons even when our strength fails and everything becomes dark to keep walking. Sometimes, without knowing how or when, we find ourselves making our way despite the deep pain we feel inside. Our resilience has no limits.

But where do these forces that make us up come from? Their place of refuge is our interior, what happens is that sometimes they are masked making it difficult to find them, and other times they show themselves subtly. In any case, these forces are there in one way or another, even when we need help to know how to use them or make them appear.

Our survival instinct is responsible for activating them, along with all our resources to propel us to overcome any extreme situation we face. But for that, we need to listen to our emotions in order to decipher what they are asking of us and act accordingly.

Don’t surrender: find your strength

When pain invades your body and you feel that you have nothing else to do, do n’t give up and keep fighting. Keep finding a why for all your questions and if you can’t find a why. Because that’s life, get up and go, don’t stop striving and learn from every mistake we make, listening and feeling our emotions.

We may not find reasons today, but who knows if tomorrow you won’t? Every day is a new story and even if sometimes you can’t decide how to end it, you can decide what the new beginning will be like.

Go ahead! Breathe, fill your lungs with air, jump and fly. If you need to go backwards, let it be just to pick up momentum, weave your wings and grow stronger thanks to the learning of everything you’ve lived through. And when you’re ready, dare to jump. Don’t stop fighting because you have all the strength and resources to face whatever comes, you just need to find them.

So don’t forget to allow yourself these days to meet your loneliness and make room for your sadness and fears, they are also needed, to then get up and realize your full potential.

If after the pain you still don’t feel strong, rest assured, you are not alone. Look for someone you can rest with and who is a haven for you. This will surely help you to get up and gather the strength again to continue. Because knowing when to ask for help and letting yourself be guided is for brave people.

So, whenever you need it, let yourself be helped, forget your fears and lean on the shoulders of others, hold their hands and get rid of everything that weighs you down so you can continue. Never stop believing that this will happen because if you dream, believe in it and act, you will be closer and closer to achieving it.

Remember that there is no end without a beginning, light without darkness, standing up if you haven’t fallen before, nor strength if you don’t search, nor even will if you don’t try to find it inside from ourselves. Adversities make us grow if we understand the middle ground that balances them.

Go ahead, find strength and strive! Get up, shake off the dust and keep walking because it’s worth it. Do not forget that life goes on, time passes and you will be the one to tell your story. The strength is within you, don’t surrender.
